THE EFFECTIVE ROLE OF AIR SERVICES DURING EIGHT YEARS OF SACRED WAR:
By commencement of the imposed war in September 1980 , while the oil installations were attached by the enemy in southern parts of the country and while none of the domestic airlines were making flights to southern airports and regions , the brave personnel of South Air Services , alongside the other sincere and brave personnel of Oil Industry took action for fulfilling services and to defend the country in all the operation regions of south by Friendship and Twin Otter airplanes (F27 & TO). It should be stated that during the same time , the air base of this Co. was transferred from airport of Abadan to airport of Aghajari (Omidieh).
THE GOALS &DUTIES OF IRANIAN NAFT AIRLINES:
Along with fulfillment of duties and achievement of the determined goals , in relation with air transport of passengers , loads , post cargos inside the country or abroad , Iranian Naft Airlines might by fixed wings and by observation of the regulations and instructions of Civil Aviation Org. , perform the following operations along with support of the operations : exploitation , production , export of oil and gas :
- To administer air transport operations , to establish , to prepare , to provide , to protect , to maintain the installations and means , equipments , personnel , and books related.
- To perform commercial , administrative , education activities , and the other services to perform transportation and optimize quality of the aforesaid operations and also to develop the activities of Co.
- To present any wing and airport services such as fixed wing transportation , research and administrative flights to legal persons whether state or private , inside the country or abroad.
- To perform services related to airplane , passenger , load (holding).
- To present aviation services.
- To present engineering services , repairs to all the Iranian companies holding all types of airplanes of Iranian Naft Airlines based on the legal powers mentioned in MC repair certificate.
ADMINISTRATION AND LEADING OF THE AIRPORTS OWNED BY MINISTRY OF OIL :
Along with policy of concentration of airplane affairs , from the beginning of its activities , Iranian Naft Airlines was responsible for maintenance and administration of all private airport of Ministry of Oil including airports of Khark , Gachsaran , Aghajari , Mahshahr , Towhid ( Jam ) , Siri , Lavan , Bahregan and having enjoyed knowledge , information , special skills , in performance of the duties assigned and by presenting the services according to the regulations and standards available , it took effective steps towards development of the airports and making basic revisions , it made the airports reach an acceptable level.
CENTER OFFICE AND CO. 'S OPERATION BASE:
According to the Articles of Association , since the management and programming of most of the charter flights of this co. . the extent of which is 700 hours flights per month are made from origin of Tehran , the registered office of Co. is placed in Tehran and the Home Base is considered Ahwaz Airport.
